Position: Research Grant Writer
Location: Home Office Based / Greece
Position Summary
The Research Grant Writer will be responsible for writing and submitting grant proposals for a variety of funding sources, including the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIC), Horizon Europe, and the European Space Agency (ESA). This role will involve conducting research to identify potential funding opportunities and writing compelling proposals that clearly articulate the research objectives and outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct research to identify potential funding opportunities and match them with the research goals of the organization
- Write clear and compelling proposals for EIC, Horizon Europe, and ESA grants
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including funding organizations and researchers
- Ensure proposals are compliant with funding guidelines and meet all application requirements
- Prepare budgets and financial reports for grant proposals
- Collaborate with researchers and stakeholders to gather information and develop proposals
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in grant writing, research administration, or a related field
- Excellent writing and communication skills, including the ability to articulate complex scientific concepts in plain language
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. science, English, business)
- Proficiency in English (working language)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in a relevant field
- Experience writing grants for EIC, Horizon Europe, and ESA
- Familiarity with research administration and grant application processes
- Experience working with international partners and stakeholders
- Proficiency in relevant software (e.g. Microsoft Project, Asana, Trello)
- Proficiency in German
